Staffordshire is packed with Halloween events in 2025, offering everything from spooky workshops and magical markets to ghost tours and fright nights. Whether you’re after a family-friendly day out or something a little scarier, this guide brings together the county’s top Halloween experiences.

Looking for some Autumn fun over the Staffordshire October half term? There are some wonderful family friendly events taking place around the county and we’ve rounded them all up for you here.

1. Scarefest at Alton Towers

Back by popular demand is the award winning Scarefest at Alton Towers. Wander around Alton Towers Resort for all sorts of creepy scares and shocks! Open until 9pm each day daring guests can face the head-spinning, hair-raising rides and attractions in darkness including Wicker Man and The Smiler! This year… prepare for two all-new scare experiences for 2025, dare to enter… if you think you can escape.

2. Tunstall Farm Park Pumpkins & Alpacas

Bring your wellies and head over to Tunstall Farm Park Pumpkins & Alpacas with over 2000 pumpkins to choose from and then say hello to Wetley Moor Alpacas. You can also add a mini alpaca treks around the farm for an additional fee. There will be farm animals to meet, face painting, photo opportunities, and crafts too. Food and drinks will be on site, and an undercover seating area is available too.

3. Screamfest at National Forest Adventure Farm

Screamfest is a Halloween attraction at the National Forest Adventure Farm, with scare attractions, including:

  • Insomnia
  • Creed Farm
  • Hillbilly Joes Zombie zoo
  • Freak out on tour
  • Area 52
  • There is also fairground rides, food and drink and live music and entertainment.

Please note, this is a scary experience and not recommended for under 16s. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.

4. Spooktacular Halloween at Drayton Manor

Drayton Manor transforms into a spooky wonderland this October, with rides in the dark, trick-or-treat trails, live shows, and plenty of family-friendly frights. Expect pumpkins, decorations, and themed entertainment across the park, making it one of Staffordshire’s biggest Halloween celebrations.

5. Keele Student Union: HALLOWEEN FAMILY RAVE (Happyface)

Happyface brings the energy of a nightclub to a family-friendly setting, complete with lights, music, and plenty of spooky fun. Dance together to a soundtrack of club classics and modern anthems at this Halloween Family Rave, where both kids and adults can enjoy the party atmosphere.

6. Stafford Castle Halloween Craft and Trail Workshop

Stafford Castle is hosting its annual children’s Halloween Craft Workshop. Head to Stafford Castle to create your very own Halloween craft to take home, and follow their spooky trail around the Castle site too.

£5 per child. Pay on entry, no need to pre book. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

7. Trentham Estate Halloween Festival

As night falls, Trentham Gardens comes alive with live music, roaming performers, and spooky creatures. Follow the illuminated pumpkin trail with incredible carved displays, snap photos along the selfie trail, and soak up the festival atmosphere at one of Staffordshire’s biggest Halloween events.

8. Pottery Pumpkin Painting Workshop at Middleport Pottery

Join the team at Middleport Pottery for a pottery painting workshop! Using ceramic colours, decorate your own 14cm (5.5 inch) pumpkin, and leave it with the team for glazing and firing!
