Meet Katy
Hello Staffordshire is run by Katy Stern, a Staffordshire-based working mum. Along with her husband, three kids, and two lively golden retrievers, Katy has called Staffordshire home for over 40 years.
By day, she works full-time as a nurse, and when she’s not busy with family life or renovating a beautiful countryside home, she’s sharing her love for the region through this site. Since 2018, Katy has been the voice behind Otis and Us, a popular family van life blog, but she felt there was a real need for an in-depth, up-to-date, and well-researched guide focused exclusively on Staffordshire.
This blog was born out of a love for the area and a desire to help others discover the best of what Staffordshire has to offer; from picturesque villages and historic landmarks to outdoor adventures and cosy cafés. Whether you’re looking for weekend inspiration, family-friendly activities, or the best local spots, you’re in the right place!
