Journey to a snow-dusted world at the North Pole Adventure, where festive storytelling, sparkling settings and Father Christmas await in Staffordshire.
The National Forest Adventure Farm in Burton-on-Trent is well known for its fantastic family days out in Staffordshire. With indoor and outdoor play areas, tractor rides, jumping pillows, adventure golf, farm animals and an indoor animal barn, it’s a hit year-round. But at Christmas, the farm transforms into something even more special, the award-winning North Pole Adventure, and is one of the best places in Staffordshire to meet Santa.

What is the North Pole Adventure?
The North Pole Adventure is an award-winning, enchanting Christmas experience that lasts around 90 minutes and transports families straight into the heart of the North Pole. This immersive journey is filled with festive fun and surprises, including:
- Exploring a charming Victorian Village
- Decorating delicious gingerbread treats with Mrs Claus
- Fixing toy machines in the elves’ workshop
- Meeting the magical, interactive talking polar bear under the Northern Lights
- And of course, a special visit with Father Christmas himself
Children can share their Christmas wishes with Father Christmas and even choose their perfect present to take home, making the experience truly unforgettable.
Our Experience at the North Pole Adventure
From the very first moment, the attention to detail was magical. We were greeted by cheeky elves, twinkling Christmas trees, snow-dusted branches and playful penguins. The children were given special passports and elf coins to spend later in the Victorian sweet shop.
The Victorian Village
The snowy courtyard featured an old-fashioned sweet shop, festive window displays, a fairy door, and even an ‘elf helpline’. Children used their coins to buy sweets and drinks, while adults enjoyed mulled wine and hot drinks.

Crafts and Creativity
In the craft room, the children decorated paper baubles with glitter and pens, guided by friendly elves.

Polar Bear and Northern Lights
After helping in the post room, we stepped into the glittering ice cave to meet a life-like, talking polar bear. The children were captivated, and each received a small bottle of Northern Lights magic to help Santa fly on Christmas Eve.

Mrs Claus’ Kitchen & Elf School
Next, we decorated gingerbread men with icing and Smarties in Mrs Claus’ cosy kitchen, before heading to elf school, where the elves led fun, interactive activities.
Meeting Father Christmas
The final stop was the highlight of the adventure… meeting Father Christmas in his grotto. The children chatted to him excitedly, collected their presents, and left full of festive spirit.
We returned home with gingerbread, baubles, gifts and, most importantly, magical memories.
