The Crepe & Waffle House is situated on the Trentham Estate and is the perfect place to grab a drink or a bite to eat after a walk around Trentham Lake. They offer both sweet and savoury options with great choice for vegetarians too.
The milkshakes here are incredible with options such as ‘Strawberry dream’ ‘Cookies and cream’ and ‘banoffee crunch’ plus you can opt for the more traditional milkshakes including strawberry, chocolate and vanilla.

If you fancy a bite to eat there are amazing crepe, waffles and oatcake options and places to dine inside and outside the venue. The Crepe and Waffle House is one of our favourite dog friendly places to eat in Staffordshire.

Oatcakes & Milkshakes in Stone is the home of ‘Monster shakes’. They offer a dine-in, takeaway or deliver service and you will find incredible indulgent milkshakes and the famous Staffordshire oatcakes with ALL the fillings.
You can’t reserve a table if you choose to dine in – on arrival a member of their team will greet you and take you to a table as soon as one is available. Dogs are not allowed inside but are more than welcome to sit outside in the outdoor area. There are plenty of options for incredible milkshakes including the Eton mess monster milkshake, Oreo monster, Ferrero monster, and fizz monster – to name just a few.
You can also choose from plenty of savoury options including breakfast, filled oatcakes, burgers, sandwiches and bagels.
3. Shakes on the Rocks

Shakes on the rocks are open 8am to 11pm daily and are self service machines (contact payment only) where you can purchase milk, milkshakes, ice cream, cheese and brownies.
Milk is priced at £1.40 for a litre and milkshakes are £2.20 for a litre. You can choose from banana, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla plus weekly specials and you can purchase glass bottles for your milkshakes that are reusable. There are also alpacas here!
4. Barlaston Milk Barn

Barlaston Milk Barn is a milk vending business situated in Barlaston. Open open 6 days a week from 09.30 Monday to Friday and 9am Saturday until 7pm each day. You can purchase a reusable glass bottle and fill it with fresh milk or milkshakes.
There are so many options to choose from for flavours, simply add your syrup and milk and fill your bottle or cup and head off for the day. Just a short drive from Trentham Estate too if you are visiting the area.

5. Coffee ‘n’ Cones

Coffee ‘n’ Cones is a lovely little venue selling Ice cream, Coffee, milkshakes and there are some dog snacks too at Downsbanks. There is a little seating area that is dog friendly and is perfect after a lovely stroll at Barlaston.

Bobby’s ice cream parlour and tea rooms is a family run and family friendly business that offers a lovely day out with kids.
There is a wide range of choice on the menu from hot and cold options including breakfasts and Sunday dinner! They also stock Snugbury’s ice cream and amazing fresh cakes for you to eat in or takeaway.
Parking is free and there is a lovely outdoor play area and farm animals to meet whilst you are here.

Ramblers Retreat in alton is a lovely family run, award winning country tea room situated in the beautiful Churnet Valley. It is a beautiful place to stop and grab a drink or bite to eat after a lovely countryside walk.
The Ramblers Retreat offers a huge range of traditional homemade snacks and cakes, and there are plenty of drinks available including delicious and indulgent milkshakes!
Perfect after stroking through tone of the many woodland walks – the venue is dog friendly too.
