The international, award-winning smash-hit musical The Bodyguard is back and arrived at the Regent Theatre last night with a bang (quite literally). Read on for The Bodyguard The Musical Review.
Ad press night
The Bodyguard shares the story of former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, who is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge; but what they don’t expect is to fall in love. Starring Sidonie Smith as Rachel Marron and Adam Garcia and Frank Farmer the bodyguard features incredible vocals and familiar classics including ‘I will love always love you’, ‘run to you’ and ‘I wanna dance with somebody.’

If you are a fan of Whitney Houston, her big vocals, and dazzling songs then you really don’t want to miss this – expect a mix of drama, romance, big vocals and toe tapping tune – the perfect night to spend with family or friends The choreography was polished and slick, the slow motion scenes really powerful, and vocals strong and rich. Adam Garcia is perfect for the role of Frank, he was controlled, cool, disciplined and professional, and all in all a what you would call the perfect bodyguard
Sasha Monique played Rachel’s sister Nicki, and her vocals were INCREDIBLE. Soft yet warm and just an absolute joy to listen to. Rachel and Nicki’s duet together was just gorgeous and their voices blended together beautifully . For me, though Monique’s voice was strong and really shone through.
