Pottery painting is one of the most creative and relaxing things to do in Staffordshire, with experiences suited to all ages and abilities, and a great rainy day activity. From mugs to figurines, these paint-a-pot sessions let you decorate your own unique piece and take it home as a keepsake.

1. Emma Bridgewater Factory

Book online, select a date, choose how many pieces of pottery you’d like to paint, and get painting! They will the glaze and fire your masterpiece and deliver it to you or you can collect from the studio. Decorating studio fee is £5 and pottery prices start from £11.20. The classic half pint mug is £20. Pre-booking is essential.
2. World of Wedgwood Studio
Open Friday from 1pm to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and during school holidays it’s open every day from Monday to Sunday. Please note, the last booking is at 3pm.

Visit the World of Wedgwood in Stoke-on-Trent and you won’t be disappointed. It is a great day out for all of the family. There is so much on offer to see and do. You can visit the World of Wedgwood clay studio for an hour of creative fun where you will learn the techniques to may your own unique jasperware creation.
During weekends, school holidays, and Fridays, The World of Wedgwood open their Decorating Studio to allow you to get creative with pottery painting! On selected dates you can book a session in the decorating Studio (adults and children welcome) to paint an item of pottery. There is a huge selection to choose from including decorations, frames, pots, vases, lanterns and animals.

Love Clay have created a number of creative courses and workshop events for beginners to professionals. They also hold a number of family friendly creative workshops and clay courses to ensure that individuals of all ages have fun together and allowing you to create your own ceramic masterpieces.

4. Amerton Glaze Craze Studio

Amerton paint a pot studio is a traditional pottery workshop and a paint a pot studio all under one roof. There is a large range of pottery pieces available, including Christmas baubles, tiles in frames, coasters, mugs, plaques, plates, clocks, vases and jugs and more. You can also book Amerton pottery painting studio for children’s parties or group bookings. Prices start from £2.50 for studio fee and then add in your choice of ceramics to paint.
